THE COST OF ALL THOSE 'MENTAL HEALTH DAYS'

On the whole, our organisations are in crisis.

It is estimated that untreated mental health issues cost Australian workplaces approximately $10.9 billion per year. One in five Australian employees report that they have taken time off work due to feeling mentally unwell in the past 12 months (Beyond Blue, 2014).

One solution, which is proving highly effective, is the implementation of positive psychology programs. Positive psychology is the leading-edge scientific study on human flourishing, and the research consistently shows that when we elevate the wellbeing, creativity and performance of our people, not only are they happier, but increased productivity follows.

However, we must be pro-active! We can always leave it to chance, but sick days and attrition from burn-out are likely to cost us far more in the long run. Let's work together to build a positive culture in your organisation, before things start to break down and your workplace becomes just another frightening statistic.
